New Michigan Accountable Care Organization Strives to Improve Primary Care
We are excited to announce the launch of Advantage ACO, which will bring high-quality, cost-effective care management to Michigan. Medical Advantage has long-served Michigan physicians, helping them achieve optimal patient outcomes and value-based care (VBC) performance through our MSO, the Consortium of Independent Physician Associations (CIPA). Now, the Michigan-based Advantage ACO will bring process improvement, technology optimization, and value-based care expertise to the dedicated providers who serve Michigan’s Medicare patients.
“With the success we’ve seen supporting independent providers, group practices, federally qualified health centers and other physicians in the state of Michigan, we’re excited to bring this new opportunity to our community,” shared Meghan Sheridan, Director of Quality Program Performance.
“Being born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue working with the state’s expert physicians, especially those operating in rural communities,” Sheridan added.
Providers in counties including Wayne, Huron, Manistee, and Alpena have taken advantage of increased practice revenue through value-based care reimbursements with the Medicare Shared Savings Program. Participants also receive localized support from Michigan ACO consultants who have a deep understanding of quality and cost performance metrics and best practices for program participation.
